Srinagar, July 2 -- In a letter sent last week, Omar Abdullah welcomed the recent launch of the Vande Bharat Express between Katra and Srinagar, describing it as a "landmark initiative" that has brought modern, comfortable, and time-efficient travel to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

However, citing feedback from commuters, stakeholders, and his personal experience travelling on the train, Omar flagged several key concerns that he said merit urgent attention.
