Srinagar, March 19 -- The supposed grievance prompted Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather to seek an apology from him for allegedly misleading the public and media.

The Speaker clarified that, as per Rule 227 of the Assembly, MLAs must submit cut motions three days before the presentation of grants. However, Parra's motions were received just a day prior.

Referring to Parra's post on X, where he claimed he was denied the opportunity to submit cut motions, the Speaker accused him of attempting to influence public opinion unfairly. "You are an educated member and should not have misled the public," he said, urging Parra to apologize.
