Srinagar, Dec. 4 -- The Union Government on Thursday informed the Lok Sabha that Jammu & Kashmir received Rs 37,978 crore for the development and maintenance of National Highways over the last five years, with almost full utilisation of funds each year.
According to the details available, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways allocated funds to J&K in a phased manner.
The break up provided by the government stated: Rs 2,932 crore in 2020-21,, Rs 6,817 crore in 2021-22, Rs 7,370 crore in 2022-23, Rs 10,528 crore in 2023-24 Rs 10,331 crore in 2024-25. The data shows continuous investment in National Highway expansion, upgradation and maintenance across the UT.
