Srinagar, Feb. 10 -- According to an order, the candidate older in age shall be selected/appointed if there is tie in the selection made on the basis of written test.

Similar approach shall be adopted where only mode of selection is interview and in case of a tie, the candidate older in age shall be selected/appointed, Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General of the court said in an order consequent upon the recommendations of the Committee for Appointment and Promotion of Officials/Officers of the High Court Staff, duly approved by the Chief Justice.
