Srinagar, March 7 -- Addressing the legislative assembly, Abdullah emphasized the vital role of the media in upholding democracy, strengthening institutions, and ensuring transparency in governance.

"The media plays a vital role in shaping public opinion, strengthening democratic institutions, and keeping citizens informed. In this spirit, we are committed to strengthening press infrastructure, facilitating greater access to information, and protecting the rights of journalists," Omar Abdullah said.
