Srinagar, June 19 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) confirmed that nearly 600 Indian students-500 of them from Kashmir-have already been safely moved from Qom to Mashhad, a border city in Iran.

Speaking toKashmir News Observer (KNO), JKSA's National Convenor, Nasir Khuehami, said, "This is the second group of students. They were initially moved to Qom, where they stayed for three days. Their evacuation is now in progress."

He said the students are enrolled at various institutions, including Islamic Azad University, Iran University of Medical Sciences, and Shahid Beheshti University. "From Mashhad, they are expected to cross into Turkmenistan, and from there, board flights to Delhi," he added.
