Srinagar, Dec. 6 -- - Intense cold wave coupled with mist and haze at places continued unabated in J&K and Ladakh on Tuesday.

Pahalgam remained the coldest place, recording a low of minus 3.8degC, a meteorological department official here said, as per news agency GNS.

He said it was 0.5degC below normal for the famous tourist resort in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.

Srinagar, he said, recorded a minimum of minus 2.2 against minus 3.4degC which was the coldest so far this season in the summer capital.

Having remained engulfed in mist this morning, the MeT official said, today's temperature was 1.3degC below the normal for this time of the year in Srinagar.
