NEW DELHI, Oct. 26 -- Three Kashmiri students have been suspended from a college in Uttar Pradesh for allegedly shouting slogans and uploading a Whatsapp cheering Pakistan's victory over India in the T20 world cup.

The three students were identified as Altaf Sheikh and Arshid Yousuf, both third year students, and fourth year student Showkat Ganai. They were enrolled in civil engineering courses at the Raja Balwant Singh Engineering Technical Campus in Agra.

It isn't immediately clear what the contents of the chats were. The move comes days after Kashmiri students in two colleges in Punjab faced mob violence after some students celebrated Pakistan's victory late Sunday night.
