Srinagar, Jan. 31 -- Light snowfall was experienced in the higher reaches of Gurez valley, Sonamarg, Gulmarg, a famous ski-resort, Sinthan Top, Pir ki Gali and other areas.

In Gurez, 4 inches of snowfall was recorded till this evening while 8 inches of snowfall was recorded in Sonamarg. 3 inches of snowfall accumulated in Sinthan Top and Pir ki Gali also, shared Aadil Maqbool, an Independent Weather Forecaster.

Reports of light snow were also received from DK Marg, Noorabad Kulgam and Baltal Pahalgam.

It was snowing at Gulmarg and other parts when the report was last filed.
