Srinagar, June 12 -- A MeT official said that the weather will remain hot, and heatwave conditions will persist at scattered locations in the region.

From June 14 to 17, light rain and thundershowers are likely at isolated to scattered places, possibly accompanied by thunder and gusty winds. However, the weather is expected to turn hot and dry again from June 18 to 20.

The public has been advised to:

Stay hydrated

Avoid outdoor activity between 12 noon and 4 pm

Take precautions to prevent heat-related health issues

Meanwhile, farmers have been encouraged to continue their agricultural operations as usual.
