Srinagar, July 2 -- Hearing a Suo Moto Public Interest Litigation, a bench of Chief Justice Arun Palli and Justice Rajnesh Oswal passed the order after counsel for the both centre and J&K government prayed to comply with the order dated April 21.

While ordering to list the matter on August 11, the Court said that if the status report was not filed "appropriate order shall follow".

In September 2022, the court said that thirteen former members of the legislative assembly and sitting or ex-parliamentarians are facing trial in Jammu and Kashmir.
