Srinagar, June 16 -- Addressing the passing-out parade of the 17th batch of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) and 26th batch of Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) at the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy in Udhampur, the Lt Governor urged the police force to adopt a multi-pronged strategy involving technology, community engagement, and coordinated intelligence to combat terrorism effectively.
"J&K Police must harness the power of intelligence, technology, inter-agency coordination and public trust. We must bring beat policing back to the centre of our security architecture and strike the right balance between 'Techint' (technological intelligence) and 'Humint' (human intelligence)," Sinha said.
