Srinagar, April 30 -- The committee has urged pilgrims to adhere strictly to the reporting time and carry only standard baggage, free from banned items. Over 3,600 pilgrims from J&K are scheduled to perform Hajj this year under the government quota.

In light of the Saudi government's temporary ban on Umrah, tourist, and visit visas, concerns arose among potential pilgrims. However, officials clarified that the ban is a routine pre-Hajj measure and will not affect pilgrims from J&K. The measures aim to streamline the Hajj process and prevent complications for registered pilgrims following the 2024 Hajj tragedy that resulted in over 1,000 deaths.
