Srinagar, July 9 -- Srinagar-Amid public criticism over the early school timing schedule in Kashmir, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Wednesday said the government may reconsider its decision in light of improved weather conditions and parental feedback.

Speaking to reporters in Baramulla, Itoo said the recent shift to early morning school timings was a temporary measure taken in response to the intense heatwave that swept across the Valley earlier this month.

"The early morning schedule was implemented to protect students from heat-related distress while keeping academics on track," she said. "We are grateful for the rains, and now that weather conditions are improving, we are open to reviewing school timings."
