Srinagar, July 29 -- According to a government order issued under No. 989-JK(GAD) of 2025, the committee will be chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and includes top engineers and officials from various departments. The panel has been mandated to examine, assess, and report on the nature and cause of the cracks and to recommend necessary corrective measures.

The committee includes senior officials from the Public Works (R&B) Department, Srinagar Smart City Limited, Design Inspection and Quality Control Department, and Traffic Police Srinagar.
