Srinagar, March 11 -- Replying to a question of Rajiv Jasrotia, the Minister Satish Sharma said that the distribution network of the Department is built up around 6630 sale outlets in the shape of Fair Price Shop and Government Sale Centres.

"Further, the Department is contemplating opening of new Fair Price Shops as per framework in vogue, which is part of Jammu and Kashmir Targeted Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2023," he said.

"Since the elected Government has assumed the office, It has been thought prudent to rope in elected members also to firm up requirements of new Fair Price Shops across Jammu and Kashmir, which necessitates relook of the existing framework.
