Srinagar, Nov. 29 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction of new homes for families affected by recent natural calamities in Ramban and Udhampur.
The project includes the rebuilding of 189 fully damaged homes in Ramban at a cost of Rs 18 crore and 341 homes in Udhampur at a cost of Rs 34 crore. The construction cost of the three-bedroom prefabricated Smart Homes will be borne entirely by the High-range Rural Development Society (HRDS India).
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor thanked HRDS India for supporting the rehabilitation efforts and asked the district administration to ensure that all genuine beneficiaries are included.
