Srinagar, July 26 -- According to officials, the majority of cases-20 in total-have been reported from the Jammu division. Three additional cases have been traced to individuals from other states, while the Kashmir division has not recorded any infections yet.

State Malariologist Dr. D. J. Raina said that while the current figures remain relatively low, public vigilance remains key. "Panic is unnecessary, but proactive preventive steps are crucial in the absence of a vaccine," Dr. Raina said, emphasising that timely action can keep the mosquito-borne disease under control.
