Srinagar, April 3 -- Police said the handles were identified in a major crackdown on online anti-national propaganda, radicalization, and the glorification of terrorism.

"The operation identified 200 adverse social media handles engaged in spreading misinformation and extremist content, with 100 of these accounts managed from outside the country," police said

"Several of the identified accounts have been blocked, and legal action has been initiated against key propagators, including multiple FIRs under relevant criminal laws," they said, adding security proceedings have also been started against several individuals involved in such activities.

"At the same time, Cyber Police Kashmir remains committed to counter-radicalization efforts. ...
