India, Oct. 13 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday called on writers and historians to challenge distorted historical accounts and present factually correct narratives, particularly those concerning Jammu and Kashmir.

He called upon writers to rectify "false and fabricated narratives" in history books and provide accurate accounts challenging these "lies".Bookshelves

Speaking at the inaugural function of the Kashmir Literature Festival organised by the Srikula Foundation, Sinha said writers must use research and critical evidence to correct misleading portrayals of India's past.
