Srinagar, Feb. 17 -- An official said, "As the Class 10th exams begin today, all arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of exams adding that over one lakh students appeared in the exams."

"All ZEOs have been directed to inspect schools, both private as well as government, in their respective areas," the official said, as per news agency JKNS.

As per official figures, around 1,32,992 students of Class 10th have been registered for the exams.

"We have designated 1,554 exam centers across Jammu and Kashmir of these, 1,313 centers have been designated in the soft zone, while 240 are in the hard zones."
