Centre Defines New Domicile Rule For J&K
Srinagar, April 1 -- The government of India on Tuesday notified the rules for becoming domicile of Jammu and Kashmir.
In the latest gazette notification, Section 3A of the J&K Reorganisation (Adaptation of State Laws) Order 2020, under the J&K civil services (decentralisation and recruitment) Act, the domiciles have been defined as those who have resided for a period of 15 years in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir or have studied for a period of seven years and appeared in Class 10th /12th examination in an educational institutions located in J&K.
