Srinagar, Feb. 24 -- Sources said that the cabinet which met at civil secretariat Jammu today under the chairmanship of chief minister Omar Abdullah approved the LG's address to the Assembly on March 03.

"The cabinet met at 7:00 PM and lasted for nearly 80 minutes," they said. The LG's address would outline the policies and roadmap of the Omar Abdullah-led government.

As per Jammu & Kashmir Reorganisation Act-2019, the Lieutenant Governor shall address the Legislative Assembly at the commencement of the first session after each general election to the Legislative Assembly and at the commencement of the first session of each year.
