Srinagar, Dec. 23 -- The book was formally released during the inaugural session by Dr Kanad Dass, Director, Botanical Survey of India, in the presence of Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu; Prof Susheel Verma, Head, Department of Botany; and Dr Sikander Pal, Organising Secretary of the conference. The release was described by experts as a valuable addition to alpine floristic literature in India.
Authored by Dr Sunit Singh along with his co-authors, the book provides a comprehensive and up-to-date account of the alpine plant diversity of the Madhmaheshwar Valley in Uttarakhand.
