Srinagar, Oct. 12 -- The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to field state president Sat Sharma as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat, where it holds a numerical advantage over the ruling alliance.
The BJP has decided that Sat Sharma will contest the election under the third notification, which includes a combined election for the third and fourth seats, reported news agency KNO.
On the seat being contested by Sat Sharma, the NC-led alliance holds 24 votes, while the BJP commands 28 votes-giving it a clear edge.
