Srinagar, Feb. 26 -- -A Bank Security Guard was shot dead by suspected militants at Achan area of Litter hamlet in South Kashmir's Puwama district on Sunday..

A police official said that militants fired upon a bank security guard identified as Sanjay Pandith, son of Kashi Nath Pandit of Achan.

He was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama for treatment where he was declared dead.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
