Srinagar, Feb. 4 -- The criticism follows a proposed revision of the J&K Assembly's business rules, removing references to the erstwhile J&K Constitution. PC chairman Sajad Gani Lone and PDP legislator Waheed Para voiced strong opposition, warning that this move could cement the post-2019 legal framework and undermine future legal challenges.

"Endorsement of draft proposal prepared by Assembly secretariat regarding Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the House will be the most explicit and unforgivable ratification of August 5, 2019 changes," Sajad Lone wrote on X.
