Srinagar, Feb. 4 -- On December 26, Shariq, a talented batter, was named to the India T20 Deaf Cricket Team for the upcoming international T20 tri-series involving Australia and South Africa. The series will begin from March 2 till March 8 in New Delhi.
The Indian deaf team has been undergoing extensive training in preparation for the tournament. After this, the team will play a three-match ODI series against Australia from March 10 to 12.
Apart from Shariq Majeed, another J&K deaf cricketer has made the team. Umar Ashraf, a wicketkeeper batter, from Srinagar is also in the team.
