Srinagar, May 2 -- The incident occurred during gusty winds that caught the fishermen off guard. According to officials, their boat was overwhelmed by the sudden weather change and overturned near Duck Park.

"The two fishermen jumped into the water in an attempt to save themselves," an official said. "One of them, identified as Abdul Majeed Khosa, son of Mohammad Sultan Khosa, a resident of Rainawari, Srinagar, was rescued immediately."

However, the second individual, Taufeeq Ahmad Chopan (24), son of Ghulam Mohammad Chopan of Chopan Mohalla, Rainawari, remains missing despite extensive efforts throughout the day.
