Srinagar, July 7 -- Officials attributed the rising numbers to favourable weather, efficient logistical arrangements, and heightened security. Monday's turnout included 17,257 men, 5,297 women, 341 children, 296 sadhus, nine transgender devotees, and 625 security personnel.

Since its commencement on July 3, the pilgrimage has steadily gained momentum. The daily figures show a consistent upward trend: 12,348 on Day 1, 14,515 on Day 2, 21,109 on Day 3, 21,512 on Day 4, and 23,857 on Day 5.

The yatra continues to run smoothly along both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes under a multi-layered security cover, with all essential services including medical and rescue teams on alert.
