Srinagar, Feb. 27 -- - The State Investigation Unit (SIU) of Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday attached four residential houses in Srinagar for providing willfully shelter to militants.

While three houses were attached in Barthana Qamarwari, another was attached in Sangam locality of Eidgah here for providing shelter to militants, a police spokesperson said Monday. The action, he said, came after orders were issued in exercise of power conferred U/S 25 read with 2 (g)( ii) UA(P) Act.

The residential houses in Srinagar belong to Shaheena/Asif Nath, Altaf Ahmed Dar and Mudasir Ahmed Mir. The house attached at Sangam-Edigah belongs to Abdul Rehman Bhat.
