Srinagar, April 3 -- The projects include Ratle (850 MW), Pakal Dul (1,000 MW), Kiru (624 MW), Kwar (540 MW), and Parnai (38 MW). No under-construction hydroelectric projects were reported in Ladakh.

The information was provided in response to a question raised by Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh and Arvind Ganpat Sawant.

The four major projects in Kishtwar district-Ratle, Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar-are being developed under a mix of central and joint venture models.

Ratle Hydroelectric Project, initially stalled, has been revived through an MoU between NHPC, JKSPDC, and PDD, J&K.

Meanwhile, the Parnai Hydroelectric Project (38 MW) in Poonch is being implemented under the J&K State Power Development Corporation (JKSPDC).
