Srinagar, July 10 -- According to official data, 17,022 pilgrims performed darshan at the holy cave shrine on Thursday via the twin routes of Baltal and Pahalgam. Of these, 12,471 were men, 4,000 women, 182 children, 108 sadhus, 5 sadhvis and 3 transgender devotees. Additionally, 253 security personnel availed darshan.
With this, the cumulative total of pilgrims who have visited the cave shrine since the Yatra began now stands at 1,45,716.
Meanwhile, a fresh batch of 7,307 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu early Thursday morning amid tight security. The convoy, comprising 284 vehicles, was split into two groups for the Baltal and Pahalgam routes.
