Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday declared all routes of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra as 'No Flying Zones' from July 1 to August 10, in a significant security move following recent terror threats.
An official order issued by the Home Department, on the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, prohibits the flying of any aerial platforms, including drones, UAVs, and balloons, along the yatra routes. The restriction will remain in place throughout the yatra period, covering both the traditional Pahalgam and shorter Baltal routes.
