Srinagar, Jan. 10 -- Government schools in Kashmir continue to show poor performance in class X exam for which the results were declared on Thursday.

The pass percentage of government schools was 62%. However, private schools continue to put up a good show with 82 pass percentage.

According to the BOSE officials, more than 41 government schools have failed to produce 20 % results.

"Of the 41 government schools, eight are in Bandipora, seven in Baramulla, six in Srinagar, five in Budgam, four each in Anantnag and Kupwara, three in Kulgam and two each in Ganderbal and Pulwama districts," the official said.
