SRINAGAR, April 23 -- Night temperature recorded a rise in Jammu and Kashmir except Kupwara and Bhaderwah but stayed below normal on Tuesday, officials said.

A meteorological department official said Srinagar recorded a minimum of 8.2degC against 6.7degC on the previous night and it was 0.7degC below normal for the summer capital of JK for this time of the year.

Qazigund recorded a minimum of 5.4degC against 4.8degC on the previous night and it was 2.1degC below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said. Pahalgam recorded a low of 2.4degC against 1.9degC on the previous night and it was 1.6degC below normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.
