JAMMU, March 26 -- A fifth standard student of a remote village in Kargil is winning hearts after he donated Rs 3000 from his eidy collection for the battle against deadly coronavirus.

Mohammad Kumail of GM Pora Kargil quietly walked into the office of Sub-Divisional Magistrate and donated Rs 3000.

"Tiger: Mohd Kumail, age 9 years from GM PORE- Kargil. Donated Rs 3000 from his eidy collection. Salute to his sense of responsibility. More power to you. Love you," tweeted Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary, deputy commissioner, Kargil.

Located 23 kilometers away from Kargil town, GM Pore is one of the backward and landlocked areas of the district.
