Srinagar, Feb. 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government took decisive action on Thursday, suspending a Medical Officer and initiating disciplinary measures against another for neglecting their duties.

The Health and Medical Education Department, in a stern move on Wednesday, attached Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, Medical Officer (RBKS) at the National Health Mission (NHM), JK, to the office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kishtwar, pending an inquiry into his conduct. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad was promptly placed under suspension with immediate effect.
