Srinagar, April 21 -- Srinagar's Super Specialty Hospital is special in name only as the Government Medical College authorities have put the onus of running the patient care on the shoulders of nursing staff throughout day and night.

The hospital which was put to work four years ago despite lacking infrastructure and manpower needed for running a speciality care lacks efficient administration.

Insiders in the hospital say that the doctors and administration of the college have put the pressure of running the hospital on nursing staff.

"We work throughout day and night for patients. Yet if there is any lack of medical care to patients, GMC authorities blame and shame us. Doctors are not even asked about any lack of medical care," say the ...
