Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- Director General of Police R.R. Swain, today visited South Kashmir's Anantnag district, where he inaugurated a newly constructed Police Post building at Chandanwari in the Pahalgam area. As part of the ceremony, DGP and other senior officers also planted saplings in memory of the martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The DGP was accompanied by senior officers, including ADGP Headquarters, PHQ/Security, J&K M.K. Sinha, ADGP Law and Order, J&K, Vijay Kumar, and IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, He was received by DIG CID Kashmir Sujit Kumar (yatra officer), DIG South Kashmir Range, Javaid Iqbal Matoo, SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, and other jurisdictional officers.
