Jammu, Sept. 15 -- Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) J&K, and Ladakh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, today kick-started 'Hindi Pakhwada' celebrations at Jammu.

In his presidential address, Padam Shri Awardee Dr. Jatinder Udhampuri, who was also the chief guest on the occasion, said that Hindi is taught in more than 250 universities worldwide, being the third largest spoken language which shows the universal impact of this language.

Terming Hindi language as an ocean which has ingested many changes with time, Udhampuri said that Hindi language has absorbed many words of different languages which are now easily used and understood by the common masses.
