Nigeria, Nov. 4 -- Following his defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), the Bayelsa state Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has said the decision to join APC was in best interest of Bayelsans, and also the leadership acumen of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Douye Diri announced his defection to the APC on Monday, following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on October 15, 2025.
