Nigeria, June 13 -- The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has announced that troops of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended several individuals suspected of aiding terrorist activities, including logistics suppliers and a Chinese national who claimed to be a miner.

During a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, Markus Kangye, the director of defence media operations, confirmed that the Chinese national was arrested during "well-coordinated" operations in Kukawa and Ngala Local Government Areas of Borno state.

Kangye stated, "The Chinese national has been detained and he is undergoing interrogation," adding that investigations are ongoing to determine the suspect's motives and connections to illegal activities.
