Nigeri, Aug. 11 -- In a decisive step towards strengthening Nigeria's Federal Character Commission (FCC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reappointed Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as the Executive Chairman for a second five-year term.
The announcement was made in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Monday.
The reappointment of Dankaka comes alongside the appointment of Mohammed Musa as the new secretary of the commission.
Meanwhile, Kayode Oladele, a former House of Representatives member from Ogun State, has been retained as a commissioner. Oladele previously served as the FCC's acting chairman upon the expiration of Dankaka's first term in 2024.
