Nigeria, Nov. 19 -- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended his planned trips to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola, as he awaits further security briefings on the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and the attack on worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State.

The development was confirmed on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

According to Onanuga, the President ordered the deployment of additional security personnel to Eruku and the entire Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State following a request from the state governor. He also directed the police to track down the bandits responsible for the attack on church members.
