Nigeria, May 26 -- In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will, on Tuesday depart Abuja for Lagos to celebrate the golden jubilee which was flagged off last month in Accra, Ghana.

According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the presidential spokesperson, the president will join other notable West African leaders to celebrate the remarkable achievements

The statement reads, "The Lagos events will include reenacting the 1975 declaration at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Victoria Island.
