Nigeria, Jan. 25 -- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Monday for a state visit to the Republic of Turkiye, aimed at deepening diplomatic relations and expanding cooperation between both countries.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the visit is designed to strengthen existing ties while unlocking new opportunities in key sectors including security, education, social development, innovation, and aviation.

The visit also serves as a reciprocal gesture following Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's state visit to Nigeria in October 2021.
