Nigeria, Aug. 15 -- President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Abuja, Nigeria's capital, for a significant two-nation journey to Japan and Brazil.

Tinubu, who departed on Friday, was accompanied by several government officials, including ministers and special advisers.

According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will initially stop over in Dubai before heading to Japan.

In Japan, the president is set to participate in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama from August 20 to 22.

"While in Japan, President Tinubu will take part in plenary sessions focused on various themes related to the conference," Onanuga noted. "He will also engage in bilateral meetings and meet with CEOs of J...
