Nigeria, July 18 -- Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Muhammad Babangida, the son of former military dictator Ibrahim Babangida, as the Chairman of the revamped Bank of Agriculture.

According to a statement on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Muhammad Babangida, 53, brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, holding a degree in Business Administration, as well as a Master's in Public Relations and Business Communication from the European University in Switzerland.

He also possesses valuable expertise through an Executive Program on Corporate Governance which he completed at Harvard Business School in 2002.
