Nigeria, Sept. 17 -- The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the results of the 2025 internal Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), with a notable 60.26 percent of candidates achieving five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.

Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, while disclosing the figures during a press conference, said, "We are proud to report that a total of 818,492 candidates out of 1,367,210 registered achieved this milestone," said Professor Wushishi.

He detailed that the registration included 685,514 male candidates and 681,696 female candidates, with 1,358,339 actually sitting for the examination.
